STOW-
He’s always smiling – and with good reason too!
Whereas many businessmen have fallen prey to the recession,
Frank Patterson has managed to prosper in an unfriendly economic climate.
Investing what little capital he had into a dream, Patterson, a Maynard native, is now the proud owner of his own successful auto body shop – Patterson Autobody – which opened it’s doors in Stow earlier this year.
Never did Patterson imagine that his business would take off so quickly, but with a reputation for quality at a fair price, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise to his many customers.
As if to emphasize the point, Patterson has a drawer full of letters from happy and satisfied clients stashed away in his office desk.
“Most of my customers come through referrals,” said Patterson, whose referral system led to one of the catchiest slogans in the Stow business community – “Patterson’s Auto Body – he’s highly wreck-amended.”
I was kind of worried about losing customers when I first came to Stow,” admits Patterson while maintaining the smile which has become somewhat of a trademark. “But when I came to Stow, my customers followed.”

That they followed may be somewhat of an understatement seeing that he’s already scheduling appointments for mid and late May. In fact, his business has grown so much that Patterson has already doubled his staff and is once again talking further expansion.
But Patterson’s success didn’t come overnight. He works hard at being the best he can be, constantly staying up-to-date on new car models and equipment out on the market, while reinforcing his own auto body techniques by attending several automotive seminars a year.
With a “customer first” attitude, Patterson has also learned the little intricacies of the insurance world, and offers free advice to his clients- advice that some insurance companies may fail to give you.
But it’s working on the cars that gives Patterson the most satisfaction. From dents and dings to total wrecks, Patterson prides himself on being able to fix most everything – with a lifetime guarantee.
Said Patterson: “If it can be fixed, we can do it.”
If you’re ever in need of a repair, or just want some advice, stop off at his Great Road Auto Body Shop. Remember – he’s “Highly – Wreck-a-mended.”
